Sony Xperia Z Tablet Launched – 10.1-inch Display, 1.5GHz Quad-Core Processor & More

Its not more than 20 days since Sony launched its much awaited, rumored and leaked smartphone at CES 2013, Sony Xperia Z and now the company has launched another device in the Z series but this time, it is Sony Xperia Z Tablet. After few leaks in the tech blogs around the world, the tablet has finally been launched today. Sony Xperia Z Tablet is the world’s Thinnest and Lightest 10.1-inch tablet in the market so far at 6.9mm thickness and 495 grams weight.

Sony Xperia Z Tablet comes with 10.1-inch display with a screen resolution of 1920×1200 pixels, a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Pro processor which is clocked at 1.5GHz, 2GB of RAM, 32GB of internal storage, a microSD card slot, a 8.1-megapixel rear Exmor-R camera, a 6000 mAh battery, NFC, and S-Force virtual surround sound technology by Sony. As for the software, the tablet runs on Android 4.1 Jelly Bean. As Sony Xperia Z, the tablet also is waterproof and dustproof.

Currently, the tablet is only available in Japan and there is no announcement about the global availability or pricing yet. But we can expect from Sony to announce the global roll-out of the Sony Xperia Z Tablet soon.
