Finally, some good news for Xiaomi fans in India. Xiaomi has announced on its social media profiles that it will soon launch the Redmi Note 3 smartphone in India.
While the company revealed that it will soon launch Redmi Note 3 in India, it has not yet revealed any pricing or availability information for the smartphone.
The company is also looking for 100 explorers who will be able to try out the smartphone before it hits the market. Those who are interested in the programme can sign up for the same by January 31.
The Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 was originally launched in November last year in China. It came in two variants – one with 2GB of RAM and another with 3GB of RAM.
It features a 5.5-inch Full HD IPS display with screen resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels. Powered by Snapdragon 650 hexa core processor, clocked at 1.8 GHz, the phone also comes with a fingerprint scanner at the back.
There is a 13 MP rear camera with phase detection auto focus and a 5 MP front-facing camera. It features a 4000mAh battery that promises 3-4 days of standby time. It has fast charging support that can charge up to 50 percent in 1 hour.
The fingerprint scanner on the phone can unlock the device in just 0.3 seconds, claims Xiaomi.
The 16GB and 32GB models are priced at 899 Yuan and 1099 Yuan in China, that converts to Rs 9,300 and Rs 11,300 respectively.
