Yu’s upcoming smartphone YU 5200 to come with 3GB RAM and FHD display

Yu, a subsidiary of homegrown mobile manufacturer Micromax, is preparing to launch its new smartphone in the Indian market – Yu 5200.

There is no official announcement from the company yet about this upcoming smartphone. However, the device was spotted on Zauba (via fonearena) and then it also appeared on GFXBench.

The listed specifications of the smartphone includes a 5.2-inch FHD display and an octa core Snapdragon 615 coupled with 3GB of RAM.

With 16GB of internal storage, the company is also offering a microSD card slot for further expanding the storage.

It further reveals that the phone will carry a 13 MP rear camera and a 5 MP front facing camera. It runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop OS.

The phone seems to include usual set of connectivity options like 4G/LTE, 3G HSPA+. Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0 and GPS.

The import price has been listed as Rs 9,036. So, we are expecting the phone to be priced under Rs. 10,000.

At that price point, it will compete against the likes of LeTV Le 1S and Xiamoi’s Redmi Note 3.
