Microsoft has today launched its latest gaming console, Xbox One X in India, just months after its international launch. This is a welcome move given that the previous model of the gaming console came to India more than a year after its official launch.
The Xbox One X is basically a hardware upgrade over the Xbox One that enables the users to play games in 4K resolution, with HDR support, and at higher frame rates than the original console.
Xbox One X is touted as one of the most capable gaming console currently available for purchase. It comes with an octa-core AMD Jaguar processor clocked at 2.3GHz coupled with 6.0 TFLOP AMD Radeon GPU and 12GB of DDR5 RAM.
While the design language of the console is similar to the Xbox One, it is noticeably smaller in size compared to the PS4 Pro from Sony. It measures 11.81 x 9.44 inches and weighs around 3.8kg.
It offers three USB 3.0 ports, an HDMI-in port, and an IR Blaster. Further, the console supports Bluetooth 4.0, 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac Wi-Fi, and Ethernet. It comes with 1TB of built-in storage and, as mentioned earlier, supports up to 4K resolution and HDR video format.
This gaming console from Microsoft also comes with a built-in 4K Blu-ray player, which is not offered by any other gaming console at the moment. The games that have been branded “Xbox One X Advanced” will offer greater details for an immersive gaming experience, as per the company.
The Microsoft Xbox One X has been launched in India at a price of Rs. 44,990 and will be made available starting today via online retailers like Flipkart and Amazon India, as well as through retail outlets such as Croma and others.
