Leshi Internet Information & Technology, popularly known as LeTV would be unheard for most Indians. It is a China-based company which mostly has presence in China only.
The company is now gearing up to shake the low price and high end smartphone market with it’s smartphones, or as the company calls – superphones.
LeTV is going to launch its first smartphone in the Indian market – the LeTV Le Max along with Le 1s at a launch event on 20th January.
The Le Max phablet has a 6.3-inch QHD display with screen resolution of 1440 x 2560 pixels, which makes 464ppi pixel density. It is powered by a 64-bit 2GHz octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 SoC complemented by 4GB of LPDDR4 RAM. On the storage front, it comes with 64GB of inbuilt storage.
Talking about the optics, it features a 21-megapixel rear camera with OIS, Sony IMX230 sensor, dual-LED flash and an f/2.0 aperture lens. Front camera is of 4-megapixel with an f/2.0 aperture. It also features a fingerprint sensor placed below the rear camera.
The smartphone comes with USB 2.0 Type-C port and MHL 2.0. There is a 3400mAh battery which is powering the device. The dual SIM smartphone also supports 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac with hotspot support, Bluetooth 4.1 with APT-X support, GPS/ A-GPS, NFC, and IR remote control.
The phone is pretty heavy at 204 grams. It measures 167.1×83.5×8.95mm. It will be available in two color options – Silver and Gold. It seems that LeTV One Max will compete against the likes of OnePlus 2 and Asus Zenfone 2 smartphones.
On the other hand, the Letv Le 1s features a 5.5-inch full-HD display. It is powered by Helio X10 processor with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of inbuilt storage.
It sports a 13-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and phase-detection autofocus (PDAF). There is also a 5-megapixel front-facing camera.
Connectivity options on the device include Dual SIM, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, GPS, Micro-USB, 3G, and 4G LTE. The phone is backed by a 3000mAh battery.
