After launching the Bharat 5 and Bharat 5 Plus smartphones, Micromax has added yet another smartphone in its Bharat 5 lineup with the launch of Micromax Bharat 5 Pro.
In terms of design, the phone is identical to the other phones in this Bharat 5 series. It comes with a 5.2-inch IPS HD display with screen resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels.
The phone is powered by a MediaTek quad-core processor, which is clocked at 1.3GHz. It packs 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage. It also has a microSD card slot for expanding storage.
There’s a 13MP snapper at the back which also has an LED flash. On the front, it features a 5MP snapper which is also accompanied by an LED flash. It also comes with support for facial unlock feature.
Connectivity options on the device include 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and GPS. The phone runs on the outdated Android Nougat operating system.
The highlight of the smartphone is its massive battery capacity. The phone comes with a 5,000mAh battery, which the company promises will offer a standby time of 21 days and battery backup of over two days on a single charge. Thanks to the reverse charging feature, the phone can also be used to charge other devices.
Commenting on the launch, Shubhodip Pal, Chief Marketing and Chief Commercial Officer, Micromax Informatics said, “We at Micromax have always been at the forefront of coming up with phones with extensive battery life and compelling product features, not too long ago we were the first to give our consumers a 30-day battery phone. Our new addition to the successful Bharat range – the Bharat 5 Pro will surely offer a complete package to the consumers at a very affordable price.”
While the company has announced that the phone will be sold at a price tag of Rs. 7,999, the phone’s availability information has not been revealed.
