Motorola is preparing to bring its Moto G6 smartphone to India. The company will officially launch the smartphone in the Indian market on 4th June and ahead of the official announcement, the phone’s pricing has been leaked.
Amazon India, which will be selling the Moto G6 smartphone exclusively in India, has accidentally put out the phone’s pricing. The company placed an ad of the device, revealing that it will start at a price of Rs. 13,999. However, the banner was taken down in few minutes.
The sixth-generation Moto G-series was launched in Brazil last month. In India, the Lenovo-owned company is expected to bring two smartphones — Moto G6 and Moto G6 Play. While the Moto G6 will be available on Amazon, the G6 Play will be available through Flipkart.
The Motorola Moto G6 features a 5.7-inch FHD+ display with 18:9 screen aspect ratio. It is equipped with a 1.8GHz octa-core Snapdragon 450 chipset and runs on Android 8.0 Oreo. On the camera front, the smartphone features a 12MP + 5MP dual-rear camera setup and an 8MP selfie camera on the front.
In India, the phone is likely to come in 3GB RAM + 32GB ROM and 4GB RAM +64GB ROM combination. The leaked pricing of Rs. 13,999 is likely to be of the base model with 3GB RAM and 32GB storage.
Connectivity options on the device include Dual-SIM, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, USB Type-C, and 3.5mm audio jack. There’s also a fingerprint sensor embedded in the home button. The smartphone runs Android 8.0 Oreo operating system out of the box and is powered by a 4000mAh battery with turbo-charge support.
